    Orange Business, a leading telecommunications and IT services provider, is seeking a Software Asset Management Specialist to join its team in Salé Al Jadida, Morocco. The role is pivotal in managing the entire lifecycle of software assets within Orange Wholesale, ensuring regulatory compliance (including NIS2), optimising costs, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate records of software licences, agreements, and entitlements.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to optimise procurement, deployment, and utilisation of software.
    • Conduct regular audits to assess licence compliance and usage.
    • Identify opportunities to consolidate, standardise, and rationalise software assets.
    • Manage relationships with software vendors and negotiate favourable licensing agreements.
    • Support projects in selecting software and understanding contractual rules.
    • Communicate usage restrictions and risks related to software use rights.
    • Lead the activity: formalise role, scope, and actions.
    • Join the network of SAM experts across Orange Group subsidiaries.

    Strategic Guidance:

    • Monitor industry trends and changes in software licensing models.
    • Develop and implement strategies for effective software asset management across Orange Wholesale.
    • Analyse software usage data to identify cost optimisation opportunities.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to software asset management.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in software asset management or related role.
    • Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance regulations, and audit processes.
    • Proficiency in software asset management tools and technologies.
    • Familiarity with ITIL framework and its application.
    • Ability to set up SAM processes in low maturity environments.
    • Professional English (oral and written) and ideally French.
    • Soft skills: rigor, reliability, results‑driven, analytical, problem‑solving, communication, negotiation, teamwork, open‑mindedness, adaptability.
    • Relevant certifications (ITIL, CSAM, IAITAM, CISA, CISSP, SAM) are an advantage.
