We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join Enakl’s engineering team. The role focuses on consolidating, hardening, and scaling the backend platform during a critical transition to a multi‑tenant SaaS architecture. You will own critical backend domains, enforce architectural decisions, and drive large‑scale refactorings while keeping production stable. Your responsibilities include designing tenant data isolation strategies, strengthening access control models (ACL, RBAC, ABAC), and preparing backend systems for SaaS‑scale usage patterns. You will also work on complex transportation and booking workflows, ensuring data integrity across payments, bookings, and lifecycle events. The role requires strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and SQL. Experience with multi‑tenant systems, tenant isolation, and access control is essential. You should have a proven track record of refactoring live production systems, a strong testing discipline, and experience with database performance tuning and query optimization. Knowledge of event‑driven systems, background job processing, and AWS infrastructure is a plus. The position is remote, with a base location in Casablanca, and offers a competitive salary of 22,000–26,000 MAD per month. The role is a permanent CDI contract with a focus on long‑term ownership of core backend systems.
