UM6P CoreLabs is a centralized research and service platform that provides advanced technologies and expertise to UM6P researchers and external clients. The X-ray Characterization Platform is a critical asset, offering a suite of X-ray techniques including XRD, XRM, XRF, XPS, EPMA, SC-XRD, SAX, and more. The Platform Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the platform, ensuring efficient delivery of services, and continuous improvement of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day‑to‑day platform operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Supervise, train, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
• Oversee reception, processing, and classification of characterization requests.
• Handle sample preparation, storage, conditioning, and preparation protocols.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control records.
• Provide expert technical advice and recommendations to researchers.
• Conduct physicochemical characterization analyses using X-ray techniques.
• Generate comprehensive reports, ensuring traceability and archiving of data.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration across the platform and UM6P research community.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Organize and participate in training workshops on physico‑chemical techniques.
• Manage supply chain and stock control for laboratory consumables.

Candidate Profile:

• PhD in Materials Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in X-ray characterization.
• Proficiency in handling heavy equipment and advanced instrumentation.
• Strong collaborative, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with lab safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluent in English and French, with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced environment.

Location & Working Conditions:

The role is based in Benguerir, Morocco, with a requirement for on‑site presence (no telework). The position offers a CDI contract and a competitive salary aligned with the university’s standards.
